Dead Zone Revive FAQ
Dead Zone Revive FAQ: whether the game is free, how to play it on release day, why the Steam build is late, PC requirements and how accounts carry over.
Quick answers to what people actually search about Dead Zone Revive, each one taken from Ruby Realms Studios’ own Steam listing and announcements. Where something has not been announced, this page says so instead of guessing.
The Game
Section titled “The Game”What is Dead Zone Revive?
A free-to-play zombie survival game from Ruby Realms Studios. You lead a team through real-time missions, gather weapons, gear and supplies, and defend your base with tactical RPG and strategy gameplay. It is a revival of Con Artist Games’ The Last Stand: Dead Zone.
Is Dead Zone Revive multiplayer?
The Steam listing carries Multi-player, PvP and Online PvP categories, alongside Family Sharing and Save Anytime. How PvP works, and how many players are involved, has not been published by Ruby Realms Studios.
Official or Fan-Made
Section titled “Official or Fan-Made”Is Dead Zone Revive official or a fan project?
It is a fan project made with the original studio’s agreement. Ruby Realms Studios describes it as a not-for-profit fan-run project, in agreement with Con Artist Games, in its Steam Status Report of March 22, 2026.
Is Dead Zone Revive a revival of The Last Stand: Dead Zone?
Yes. It revives Con Artist Games’ The Last Stand: Dead Zone with that studio’s agreement. The original source code was lost, so the team rebuilt the game by reverse-engineering the old server logic.

Playing It Today
Section titled “Playing It Today”How do I play Dead Zone Revive right now?
Through the official site. Ruby Realms Studios provides a direct download link with its own launcher at deadzonegame.net/playnow. On release day that is the only route, because the Steam build is not live yet.
When is Dead Zone Revive coming to Steam?
Not on August 3. The announcement of July 29, 2026 said the review build was not submitted in time for Steam approval, and estimated roughly one to two weeks after submission. An Epic Games release has been mentioned with no date.
Does my Dead Zone Revive account work across the launcher, Steam and Epic?
Yes. Ruby Realms Studios states that all launchers use the same server, so launcher progress carries to the Steam version. Switching means uninstalling the launcher, installing the Steam build, and logging in with the same account.

Things With No Official Answer
Section titled “Things With No Official Answer”These come up constantly and have no published answer. Any page giving you a firm figure invented it:
- What the in-app purchases actually are, and whether they affect gameplay
- The exact Steam and Epic Games release dates
- Whether old The Last Stand: Dead Zone accounts, characters or compounds can be recovered
- Survivor limits, weapon stats, building levels, map counts or any other number
- Whether the game leaves alpha, and when
- macOS, Linux, Steam Deck or console support
- Server locations, player capacity or region availability
Where the Official Channels Are
Section titled “Where the Official Channels Are”Ruby Realms Studios publishes through four places, and everything on this wiki traces back to them:
| Channel | Address |
|---|---|
| Steam store page | store.steampowered.com/app/3919900 |
| Official site | deadzonegame.net |
| Official forum | forum.deadzonegame.net |
| Official Discord | discord.gg/E8aTHUcV42 |
This wiki hosts no files and provides no downloads of any kind. The launcher comes from the official site and nowhere else.
Games That Are Not This Game
Section titled “Games That Are Not This Game”Is Dead Zone Revive the same as Deadzone Rogue?
No. Deadzone Rogue is an unrelated first-person roguelite shooter from a different developer. Dead Zone Revive is the licensed not-for-profit revival of Con Artist Games’ The Last Stand: Dead Zone, published on Steam by Ruby Realms Studios.
The two share nothing beyond a similar-looking name. If you are looking for a shooter, this is the wrong wiki; if you are looking for the base-building survival game that came back from the Flash era, this is the right one. Its background is on the revival story page.
