Dead Zone Revive System Requirements

Dead Zone Revive system requirements are light: Windows 10 or 11, a Core i3, 2 GB of RAM, a DirectX 10 GPU and just 300 MB of storage at the minimum tier.

What are the Dead Zone Revive system requirements?

Both tiers below are published on the Steam store page. The short version: this is one of the lightest PC releases you will install this year — the minimum tier asks for a Core i3, 2 GB of RAM and 300 MB of disk space.

Minimum Recommended
OS Windows 10 / 11 (64-bit) Windows 10 / 11 (64-bit)
Processor Intel Core i3 or equivalent Intel Core i5 or equivalent
Memory 2 GB RAM 4 GB RAM
Graphics DirectX 10 compatible GPU DirectX 11 compatible GPU
DirectX Version 10 Version 12
Storage 300 MB available space 500 MB available space
Sound card Integrated DirectX-compatible Integrated DirectX-compatible

Note that the operating system requirement is identical across both tiers: Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. There is no separate OS demand for the recommended configuration.

Can Dead Zone Revive run on an old laptop?

The published minimum is a Core i3 with 2 GB of RAM and a DirectX 10 compatible GPU. As a point of reference, DirectX 10 dates to the Windows Vista era and 2 GB of RAM is below what most current games list as an absolute floor. By 2026 standards this is a low bar — the practical constraint for most people will be the 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 requirement rather than the hardware.

That said, a published minimum is a statement of what the developer targeted, not a guarantee for any individual machine. Driver versions, integrated graphics behaviour and background load all matter, and the only way to confirm a specific laptop is to install it and see. The game is free, so testing costs nothing but time — see how to play.

How much RAM does Dead Zone Revive need?

2 GB at minimum, 4 GB recommended.

How much storage does Dead Zone Revive need?

300 MB at minimum and 500 MB recommended. That is small enough to be worth pointing out on its own — most modern PC releases are measured in tens of gigabytes.

Two things worth keeping in mind about that figure. Storage requirements listed before release often grow as content is added, and the August 3, 2026 build is the second alpha release with active bug fixing ongoing, so the installed size may change with patches. And these figures are published for the Steam version; the developer has not published a separate size for the official launcher build.

Does Dead Zone Revive work on Mac or Linux?

Not listed on Steam. The store page publishes Windows requirements only. Ruby Realms Studios has not announced macOS or Linux support, and has not stated that those platforms are unsupported either — there is simply nothing on record. Treat the absence as unknown rather than as a “no.”

Also not announced: any Steam Deck compatibility rating, and any console version. Because the Steam build has not released yet — it missed the review submission window and is expected roughly one to two weeks later, as covered on the Steam release page — an absent Deck rating is expected at this stage rather than meaningful.

Do the launcher version and the Steam version have the same requirements?

Only one set of requirements has been published: the Steam store page listing above. Ruby Realms Studios has not published separate specifications for the official launcher version available at deadzonegame.net/playnow, which is currently the only way to play.

Since both clients connect to the same server and deliver the same game, the Steam figures are the best available reference for the launcher build. But that is an inference, not an official statement, so it is flagged as one here.

  • macOS and Linux support.
  • Steam Deck compatibility.
  • Any network or bandwidth requirement, despite the game being online with PvP.
  • Separate requirements for the official launcher version.
  • Console versions.

Full launch context is on the release date page, the game is free either way — see price — and other common questions are collected in the FAQ.
